About the artist

I'm Julia, and I'm a freelance makeup artist based in the Sacramento area. I have been doing makeup for 10+ years. I attended a small film makeup school in 2017 and shortly after began my makeup business journey, Heavy Glamour. I also have an extensive background in retail cosmetics and specialize in beauty, fashion, bridal, film, and event makeup. In my personal style, I adore a good colorful or sparkly glam moment, but also love dark alt makeup. I love being creative, and I love working on set.

I love helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin, and I love enhancing natural features with makeup. Though I am also fascinated by the creative power of makeup and the spectrum of how much you can transform! I appreciate any type of makeup and am happy to assist in bringing my clients' visions to life. My chair is always open to absolutely anyone.

Aside from the beauty industry, I have a huge passion for music and animals. I am vegan, a musician, and the vocalist of a metal band called Bleak Machine.
